Music! Music! Music! What else is there in life that brings joy to so many people??

There is basically no one that has not been touched in a positive way by music, from the beat of a drum in remote areas of our planet, to the most sophisticated, electronically-supported sounds of the developed world.

ONYX continues to feel blessed to be able to bring a wide variety of musical styles to our continually-growing audiences, from a couple celebrating a marriage milestone, a wedding or a birthday with family and friends, to a corporate, community, or retail event. Every one of these delivers a fresh new look into why we continue to do what we do. And, it’s a very beautiful picture! In our summer newsletter, we mentioned working on new music this year. Here’s the ‘hit list’ to date: Best of My Love Peaceful Easy Feeling Tequila Sunrise (yes, 3 Eagles’ hits) If I Had You You Don’t Know Me All of Me Abilene Blues Stay Away from Me L-O-V-E We trust you will soon be able to share our enjoyment of these great tunes.

We want to pay special tribute to our friend and arranger Murray Adams for providing us with wonderful interpretations of no less than five of our newest and most popular songs. Murray’s arrangements are influenced by his love for contemporary harmonies, which is also reflected in the repertoire of his own a cappella group, Cruisin’.

Kudos also go out to our webmaster Lyle Southam whose creativity and ongoing support makes us look good ‘on line’. We sincerely hope you enjoy our site, will add it to your ‘favourites’ and take a look once in a while to see what’s new.

ONYX is currently busy recording new sample tracks of many of our songs as well as developing a “Media Kit”, both of which will be accessible on our website when they are ready.

As we enjoy the last of the fall colours, we are gearing up for Old Man Winter and the many surprises yet to come in our quartet lives. Please have a safe and healthy winter; we look forward to sharing an exciting 2012 with many of you.
